How long will it take for my withdrawal benefit to be paid / processed when I change jobs?

According to legislation when you change jobs, the fund administrator must receive your final fund contribution schedule from your employer by the 7th. Should the 7th fall on a weekend, the next working day applies.

Important note: the pay-out countdown can only start once we (the fund administrator) receive all applicable contributions and documentation. Therefore, your employer is an integral part of the process duration and completion.

 Your Timeline Guide:

  1. The fund administrator receives your final fund contribution and completed withdrawal form from your employer by the 7th.
  2. The schedule is received before or on the 15th reflecting your final fund contribution. Once examined, the update process on all relevant systems will start.
  3. After the system updates are done, the exit process begins.
  4. Factors that could delay the pay-out process and warrant further investigation with your employer, are as follows:
    • Tax related complications
    • 37D deductions; housing loans, divorce orders, maintenance orders or employer debt

When all the requirements are met above, the pay-out typically takes two weeks (ten working days).
