What if payment of my withdrawal benefit is delayed?

If your pay-out takes longer than two weeks, you should follow up with your HR office to see what is holding up the payment process and whether they have received all the required documents.

The following may delay your payment:

  • All the fields on the withdrawal form are not completed with the correct information
  • Your tax affairs are not in order and you need to contact SARS
  • Surname on the withdrawal document differs from the surname provided to the fund administrator. In this case, you may be required to provide your marriage certificate or other supporting documents when submitting your claim form
  • Banking details provided must be your personal bank account
  • 37D deductions; housing loans, divorce orders, maintenance orders or employer debt
Important note:

If your claim is submitted electronically via the administrator’s website, you will receive an SMS or email from the administrator. Ensure that your contact details on the form are correct.
